Forêts illyriennes à Fagus sylvatica (Aremonio-Fagion)

Fagus sylvatica forests of the Dinarides and of associated ranges and hills, with outliers and irradiations in the southeastern Alps, the southwestern Carpathians and in the mid-Pannonic hills. In these areas they are in contact with, or interspersed among, medio-European beech forests such as 9130, 9140 and 9150. Species diversity is greater than in the Central European beech woods and the Aremonio-Fagion constitutes an important centre of species diversity.
